Patricia McClure-Chessier is the Award-Winning Author of Losing a Hero to Alzheimer’s: The Story of Pearl and A Caregiver’s Guide for Alzheimer’s and Dementia: Nine Key Principles. Patricia will share her journey of how she cared for her mother who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease and communication strategies from her book A Caregiver’s Guide for Alzheimer’s and Dementia: Nine Key Principles. Participants will learn how to avoid power struggles, learn what to do when their loved one is non-compliant with their daily skills or when their loved one displays challenging behaviors.
