MYSTERIES IN THE MORNING

MYSTERIES IN THE MORNING

A Small Death in the Great Glen by A. D. Scott

In the Highlands of 1950s Scotland, a boy is found dead in a canal lock. Two young girls tell such a fanciful story of his disappearance that no one believes them; but the local newspaper staff set out to uncover and investigate the crime.

“I chose a book set in Scotland to lead up to Burns Night on the 25th of January. In Scotland, it is a night which celebrates the life and poetry of Robert Burns. People gather to recite Burns’s poetry, eat haggis and drink Scotch whisky. While we probably won’t eat haggis at the book club, we can talk about Scottish highland culture and get ready for Burns night!” -- Meghan
