HYBRID (in-person or online): Breast Cancer: Is It in Our Genes? with Advocate Aurora Health
Please join Jessica Dowling, MS - Genetic Counselor, Cancer Institute, Advocate Christ Medical Center to talk about breast cancer and its relationship with our genes. The presentation will explain the risk factors for breast cancer; discuss the link beween breast cancer and genetics including genetic testing for BRCA1/2, CHEK2, PALB2 and other genes associated with breast cancer; and compare levels of breast cancer risk between the baseline/general population risk versus those with inherited predisposition syndromes such as hereditary breast and ovarian cancer syndrome [BRCA1/2].
This class will be held in the library's Café on the first floor of the building. Please register below if you plan to attend in person.
